Welcoming Mayor Karen Bass and HUD Acting Secretary Adrianne Todman to the Mayfair Hotel

On October 10th, Weingart Center and I welcomed U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Planning Acting Secretary Adrianne Todman, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, and other city and state leaders to Mayfair Hotel, where we have over 200 interim housing units.

At all of our interim housing developments, including Mayfair Hotel, we provide:

  • Physical and mental health services

  • Substance use disorder services

  • Intensive case management

  • Life skills

  • Employment and housing navigation

I’m proud of the work Weingart Center has done for people experiencing homelessness and that Mayor Karen Bass used our development as an example of what housing developments can look like when funding for addressing homelessness is prioritized in public policy at the federal level.
