Measure A tackles homelessness: here’s why

On October 21, 2024, we hosted Mayor Karen Bass, Sheriff Luna, the Los Angeles Business Council, the Central City Association, the Hospital Association of Southern California, and the Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber at 11010 smB to show our support for Measure A.

Measure A aims to increase funding for mental health and substance abuse treatment, implement government reforms to streamline bureaucracy, and require audits and spending reports to ensure accountability, among other improvements.

If passed, along with other benefits, Measure A will protect vital homelessness funding, enabling more individuals to transition into permanent housing, expanding affordable housing options, and reducing the number of unsheltered people in Los Angeles.

Funding from initiatives like Measure A made 11010 smB a reality, providing 51 units of housing for veterans and seniors in the welcoming neighborhood of Westwood. We’re grateful for the community’s support, and 11010 smB stands as a model of what we can achieve with the resources Measure A promises to deliver.

Voting is one of the most powerful ways to make your voice heard and to shape the future of our community. By casting your ballot by November 5th, you’re helping decide how resources are allocated and what priorities our city will focus on. Make sure to participate, support the causes you care about, and contribute to a better Los Angeles for everyone.
